The Burlington City & Lake Semester is a collaboration between the Burlington School District and Shelburne Farms.

Shelburne Farms provides staff to the program, administrative support, and deep expertise in Education for Sustainability, in line with their mission to cultivate learning for a sustainable future.

The program’s creation was aided by the Greater Burlington Sustainable Education Network (GBSEN) and the Greater Burlington Regional Center of Expertise in Education for Sustainable Development, including leaders at Shelburne Farms, The University of Vermont Rubenstein School for the Environment and Natural Resources, and Burlington Geographic.
